Meet Our 2021 Campaign Co-Chairs
We are very excited to introduce Lisa Thomas & Chris Farrands as our 2021 Campaign Co-Chairs:
Lisa Thomas, DeRock Electric Co., 2021 UW Co-chair
Lisa Thomas has recently accepted a new position as the EVP, Controller and HR Manager at DeRock Electric. Previously, Lisa was in banking for 35 years, most recently as the Vice President, Senior Branch Manager at M&T Bank. Lisa will miss her M&T Bank colleagues but she is excited for a new career path with DeRock. Lisa believes in giving back locally and is a passionate community advocate. She serves on the Advisory Board for The Salvation Army of Carlisle where she has served for ten years. She is the current Board Chair for Project SHARE, additionally, Lisa serves on committees for United Way and she is a proud Leadership Cumberland Alumni. Lisa also supports the MS Society a cause that is very near and dear to her family. She spends her free time with her family and her dog. She enjoys sports and loves to watch the West Virginia Mountaineers and the Denver Broncos. Lisa is married to Dale Thomas for 37 happy years, they have 3 grown children and two grandchildren.
Chris Farrands, Cohick & Associates, 2021 UW Co-chair
Chris Farrands is a practicing accountant at Cohick and Associates in Carlisle, PA. He was born and raised in Carlisle, Chris is a graduate of Carlisle Area High School. Chris graduated from Shippensburg University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration: Accounting. Chris also serves as the Foundation Chair with the Carlisle Sunrise Rotary. President & former Treasurer of the board for the United Way of Cumberland County, Treasurer & member of the Finance Committee for Partnership for Better Health, Past President of the Big Spring Kiwanis Club, and former Board President of Cumberland County Habitat for Humanity. Chris enjoys spending time with his wife Mallory, their daughter Lyra & son Beckett, English Springer Spaniel, Chelsea, and cat Bella. He enjoys boating, hiking, fishing, hunting, motorcycle riding, and attending automotive related events. Chris also enjoys hobby farming with a small herd of cattle.
