Every year, in an effort to raise awareness and funds to support 23 human service organizations and 35 programs, United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County hosts a number of events and programs. Each and every one is unique in its own way and boasts the opportunity for partners to interact, to showcase their support of the community and to raise awareness for their brand.

Overall Campaign
Campaign Matching Grant – $10,000 – $50,000
The Annual Campaign Leadership Matching Gift Challenge entices community members to become new leadership donors and also encourages current donors to increase their level of giving to the next highest leadership giving level. It accomplishes this by providing a dollar-for-dollar match for any individual who fulfills the challenge.

100% Guarantee Sponsor – $7,500 – $20,000
When an individual invests their gift in United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County, 100% of their donation will support programs that address critical needs in our community. With the support of generous corporate partners, interest from the endowment and special events, all administrative expenses incurred by United Way are paid.

Campaign Prize Sponsor – $25-$5,000
As an incentive to individuals to contribute to the campaign, a raffle prize system is offered. Both monetary partnerships and gift-in-kind partnerships are available. The assortment of prize packages available for partnership includes: Travel United, Dine United, Splurge United, Shop United, Relax United and Stay United.

A breakfast kick-off for businesses running campaigns early, “setting the pace” for the fall campaign. Approx. 30 attendees. Event Held: June

Humanitarian Award Reception – $2,500
Established in 2000, the annual “The Alexis de Tocqueville Humanitarian Award” recognizes an individual’s outstanding volunteer service to the community. All Leadership Associates are also invited. Approx. 100 attendees. Event Held: June

Community Events
Day of Caring– $3,000 Single Sponsor
A day of giving back through local volunteer projects. Teams are comprised of individuals and groups of business employees. Approx. 200-250 attendees. Event Held: Fall

The Emerging Leaders Society (UWCCC leadership donors age 40 & under) members, visit local early education centers to read, PA’s “One Book, Every Young Child” book selection, at this annual reading event.

Women United Luncheon – $500
An annual luncheon with distinguished female speakers, provided for members of the Women United and their guests.
