We are looking for volunteers to give their time and talents to service projects during United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County’s Day of Caring. If you, your co-workers, friends or family have been part of this great effort, you know what a fun and meaningful experience it is.
Day of Caring is an opportunity for people to donate a morning to help local nonprofit organizations complete needed work projects and to learn more about the needs of human service organizations in the Carlisle area.
Are you looking to volunteer? Sign up here!
The morning starts at 8 a.m. with a kickoff at Dickinson College’s Allison Hall, 99 Mooreland Ave., Carlisle. There will be refreshments served while you have the opportunity to bond with other volunteers. From 8:30 a.m. to noon, Day of Caring volunteers will be onsite at project locations. From 12:15 to 1:15 p.m., lunch will be served at the LeTort Park Pavilion.
Last year, almost 400 volunteers worked at more than 40 locations in central Cumberland County, doing a variety of projects at nonprofits, churches and agencies. The volunteers ranged from private individuals to middle school students to large companies that sent more than 40 employees. No number of volunteers is too small or too large!
Could your organization use an extra hand? Request your project here!
