2020 Co-chairs Adam G. Shaffer & Patrick P. Bartoli

We are excited to announce our United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County Co-chairs for our 2020 Campaign, Adam G. Shaffer & Patrick P. Bartoli. These Every Day Heroes are empowering the community one donation at a time!

Adam G. Shaffer was born in the small town of Mt. Pleasant Mills, PA.  After high school Adam moved to Pittsburgh to attend the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and Point Park University.  In 2007, upon completion of his studies and internship, Adam accepted a funeral directing job with the Hoffman Funeral Home and Crematory in Carlisle, PA.  Since then Adam has come to call Carlisle home and he is now the supervisor/manager at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematory. When he is not working Adam enjoys spending time with his lovely wife Kristin, hanging out with family and friends, taking care of his lawn, playing golf, and serving his community.

Adam is actively involved with the Carlisle community.  Adam enjoys any opportunity to help children and has participated in a few programs that organize volunteers who will read to children.  He has served First Evangelical Lutheran Church as a member of the Congregational Council and on the finance committee; is a member of the Rotary Club of Carlisle Sunrise where he co-chairs the club service lane; and is a United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County board member, on several committees and excited to be a 2020 UW Co-chair.

Adam and Pat became close friends when they were introduced by a mutual friend in 2007.  You can find them hanging out watching sports, working together to complete handyman projects, spending time with friends and family and volunteering around the community.  Adam is known to be quite the BBQ chef and mastering the art of the BBQ smoker.  Pat recently took an interest in brewing his own beer and is learning more and more with each batch of beer.

Patrick P. Bartoli is a partner and CFP® professional with the Bartoli, Seig & Metz team at Morgan Stanley. He was born and raised in Carlisle. He is a 2016 Leadership Cumberland graduate, past member of the Carlisle Young Professionals Outreach Committee, former President of Cumberland Connections and currently serves on the board of the United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County.

One of Pat’s favorite quotes to live by is from Bill Gates, “I believe that with great wealth comes great responsibility, a responsibility to give back to society and a responsibility to see that those resources are put to work in the best possible way to help those most in need.”  Pat stays true to this motto and is an active member of the Carlisle community by volunteering regularly with the United Way and its partner agencies.

Adam and Pat, working together to empower our community, one donation at a time!!
