Encore Performance by MTB Glee College A Cappella People’s Choice Winner “Rhapsody” This SATURDAY!
This is a “MUST SEE”! York College Rhapsody will perform as special guests at the Street Corner Symphony Concert, Saturday May 7th, at the Carlisle Theatre. This group has been participating in our Glee program for the past 4 years and this year marks the last for many of these students as they will be graduating next week. They have always been a top contender with medleys of Michael Jackson, Disney and pop favorites. This college group brings a diverse flavor, complicated vocals and entertaining choreography to our stage. Voted this year’s “People’s Choice Winner” and outstanding percussion (by rapper D’Jour Hood), they have been asked by Street Corner to open their show. For the 1st time in Carlisle, we will get a full set of musical entertainment from this award-winning a cappella group. In addition to their wins at Glee, they were YorVoice Champions for 2016 as well as ICCA (International Collegiate Competition of A Cappella) quarter finalists (which puts them in the top 200 college a cappella groups in the world)!
The concert features NBC Sing Off finalists Street Corner Symphony!
This six-member, male a cappella group from Nashville, Tennessee became an international sensation in 2010 after being runner up on the second season of NBC’s The Sing-Off. The group performs gospel, barbershop, rock, and pop to appeal to a wide range of audiences. Since their success on The Sing-Off, Street Corner Symphony has been making records, performing for audiences across the country and around the world. They have appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and toured with The Sing-Off judge, Ben Folds, as well as other popular artists.
