The United Way of Carlisle and Cumberland County funds 33 programs that meet our community’s most pressing needs. Every summer and fall, volunteers are recruited to serve on panels to review programs and make funding decisions. Volunteers serve on panels in one of the following 4 focus areas:

- Safety Net
Panel volunteers make site visits at the programs assigned to their panel, review budget and program applications, program outcomes (results) and make final funding decisions. This occurs in the fall and early winter, from late September through January, depending on your level of involvement.
