2020 CAMPAIGN OFF TO A LATE START!
United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County began its annual fundraising efforts by kicking off the 2020 Campaign on Wednesday, October 7th at the Cumberland Drive-In. Thanks to the generous sponsorship by UPMC Pinnacle this was a free event and open to the public.
The 2020 Campaign & Day of Caring Kickoff featured: United Way Mini-Movies and Local Impact Stories. Entenmann’s Bakery, Mondalez, & Project SHARE, provided snacks and Wolfe & Company Realtors donated bottled water.

The 2020 fundraising campaign runs from October 9th and continues through December 31st and is led by co-chairs Patrick Bartoli of Morgan Stanley Wealth Management and Adam Shaffer of Hoffman Funeral Home & Crematorium. The 2020 campaign theme is “Everyday Heroes, Empowering our Community!” The Kickoff event marked the start of United Way’s annual fundraising effort and gives the organization an opportunity to thank local companies, donors and volunteers for their generosity and commitment to our community.
The campaign raises dollars to support basic needs for people living in Boiling Springs, Carlisle, Mt. Holly Springs, New Kingstown, Newville, and Plainfield areas.The funds raised by the campaign help fund 38 programs operated by 24 non-profit organizations working to address the community’s most pressing needs like food insecurity, housing, healthcare, financial stability, and youth services.
“Thousands of families in Carlisle & Cumberland County depend on health and human service programs funded by United Way,” said Lucy Zander, Executive Director. “This year our goal is to raise as much money for our community as possible and together each gift will help to empower our community and fund local non-profit partner programs.”
