2016 Campaign Kicks Off!
On Wednesday, September 7th, United Way of Carlisle & Cumberland County joined together with the community to kick off its major annual campaign effort of raising dollars for the Carlisle & Cumberland County community.
The 2016 campaign is being led by co-chairs Dr. Alan Moyer of South Middleton School District and Mindy Loftus of Orrstown Bank. The kick off breakfast was sponsored by Giant Food Stores and was based around this year’s theme, “Dreams for Our Community”. Moyer and Loftus shared that this year’s goal has been set at $1.45 million, and announced that the 14 Pacesetter companies have already raised $239,451. When combined with other early campaign gifts, the total raised for the community so far is $325,323, or around 22% of that goal!
The Pacesetter companies included: Carlisle Area School District, Carlisle Early Education Center, Dickinson College, Giant Food Stores, M&T Bank, Mountz Jewelers, Orrstown Bank, Partnership for Better Health, R. S. Mowery & Sons, Inc., Smith Elliott Kearns & Co., Target, The Salvation Army, The Sentinel, and Turner Hydraulics.
