2012 Campaign Total, and a 2013 Preview
At the 2012 Campaign Celebration, over 200 people joined us as we announced our 2012 campaign total: $1,360,700!! We are so thankful for our community’s generosity. All of this money is going directly to support our 28 partner agencies and 44 programs. All of our agencies can be found under the “community impact” tab above.
Several companies were honored at the Campaign Celebration. The Sentinel, The County of Cumberland, Carlisle Area School District, Keen Transport, Frog Switch and Manufacturing Company, Allen Distribution, URS, Campus Door, Carlisle Family YMCA, and Pyrotek were all recognized for holding special events and prize incentives during their employee campaigns. The 2012 Campaign Spirit Award went to Carlisle Regional Medical Center. Tuckey Corporation had the top campaign in companies up to 100 employees, Allen Distribution for companies with 100-500 employees, and Ahold USA Retail, Ahold Financial Services and Giant Food Store, LLC for companies with more than 500 employees. Finally, the 2012 Most Improved Campaign Award went to Keller Financial Group.
Thanks to these companies for being leaders in our community. To our outstanding 2012 co-chairs, Kevin Curtis and Rebecca Foote: we can’t thank you enough. Your dedication, leadership and enthusiasm throughout the entire campaign was very much appreciated!
As we wrap up our 2012 campaign, we are already excited for what the new year will bring. Our 2013 Campaign Co-Chairs, Brian Bittinger of Ahold USA and Tonia Ulsh of Mountz Jewelers, revealed our next campaign theme: Dr. Seuss! Dressed as Thing 1 and Thing 2 (with a little help from the Cat in the Hat), Brian and Tonia gave the Celebration crowd a preview of the fun things that will occur in the 2013 Campaign. A flash mob of “Things” from Dr. Seuss even performed an energetic dance to “Gangnam Style”!
The 2013 Campaign Vice Co-Chairs were also announced: Rena Geesaman of Susquehanna Bank and Joel Flinchbaugh of Smith Elliott Kearns will be fantastic additions to the campaign team.
Thank you again for all your support!
